“I mostly choose porcelain. It is an incredible material; transparent, fine, and strong, but at the same time, fragile. These qualities reward me with brilliant control of color and light through firing. I actually feel that I dance with porcelain; as it spins on the wheel. I try to seize this energy and leave my throwing mark as traces of my attempt to seize every moment and movement. Time, energy, my work, and I are inseparable!”
